I pulled a few of my offerings down, as well as the thread for possible new items. There's a few reasons why I did this....
First and foremost, it's because I'm getting swamped with local paint work, and I need to concentrate on those and the 2 SQ restorations I have going. Second, I'm lucky if I make $5/hour doing SQ stuff. That was fine when I was slow- it was good filler work and I enjoyed it. Now that things are picking up locally, I will be focusing more on those higher paying jobs so i can get my big shop finished this year. Third, and finally, There were some of the larger bulkier items like bumper mods and such, that just were insane shipping costs, and when I did ship them, the shippers damaged them. The last one was so bad, that even with the insurance from the shipper, I am losing money repairing and reshipping it in a wooden box. I love doing SQ stuff, but I'm not gonna pay you guys to have my stuff LOL.
I will still be making the hoods, and those are the only bulky items that I will be making and shipping (although shipping will be hella expoensiveas I will be going insane on the packaging to insure no damages). Everything else will be smaller items that are easily shipped and less time consuming to make.
I may still be able to make some of the other items, but I will not be advertising the services. If someone wants me to do a bumper mod or whatever on a car I'm painting for them or they want to come opick it up, cool. I would still make them, as long as you're willing to wait for a lull in the high paying local work.
I hate to have to do this but I need to stay uber focused on getting the funds to have the big shop built by the end of the year. After the big shop is done, I may start offering some things again or try and come up with new products, but only time will tell.
